Dr. Sandhu

Dr. Sandhu our resident surgeon, graduated from Punjab Agricultural University, India in 1990. After graduation, Dr. Sandhu actively volunteered doing veterinary care in the farming community of his home town, Faridkot, Punjab. In 1991, Dr. Sandhu had his first entrepreneur business, a construction company. In 1993, he moved to British Columbia, Canada and owned an orchard with various fruit trees. At this time Dr. Sandhu worked at a feedlot treating 7500 beef cattle at a large ranch. Dr. Sandhu passed his Veterinary boards for the U.S in 1995.His ECFVG clinical rotation was completed at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, and his surgical residency was at Animal Medical Center of Southern California in West Los Angeles. By 1999 Dr. Sandhu moved to Corona,CA From 2005-2009 Dr. Sandhu was the resident surgeon for a 24 hour Animal Emergency Hospital. In this time Dr. Sandhu was a partner in a trucking company and owned an Indian restaurant. In 2009 AV Veterinary Center was opened. From there All Creatures Veterinary Center was purchased in 2010. Finally in 2011 Canyon Country Veterinary Hospital was purchased. Dr. Sandhu has special interest in ortho surgeries and spinal surgeries. In Dr. Sandhu’s spare time he enjoys breeding and showing Arabian horses, spending time with his children and keeping up his ranch including: 6 dogs, 2 cats, 4 peacocks, 40 horses, 12 goats, 2 pigeons, 7 bunnies and 1 parrot.

Dr. Cull

Dr. Cull grew up in Southern California where she completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Cal Poly Pomona in 2007. She then graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, specializing in Equine and Small Animals. Dr. Cull has special interests in canine rehabilitation, ultrasound, and preventative medicine. She has a few “fur babies” of her own; a cattle dog mix named Lulu,two cats, Sunshine and Pickles, and a retired Quarter Horse, Otto. When she has spare time, she enjoys volunteering for disabled riding programs, helping others learn to ride horses and hiking.

Dr. Blake

Amanda Blake was born and raised as a military child who frequently moved around from place to place and always had pets where every she went, from Texas to traveling abroad animals were always a part of her life. She graduated high school as valedictorian and went to Cal Poly Pomona to pursue a bachelors in animal science where she graduated with honors. She then went to Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona where she received her Doctors in Veterinary Medicine. In her free time she enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with her horse.

Our Management


Christy is AV Veterinary Center’s hospital manager. Christy has spent her life working with animals and grew up surrounded by them. Not only with her own pets, but prior to attending college she worked on several ranches training horses. She also worked closely with equestrian learning programs for handicapped children and adults including the Special Olympics. Christy graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of veterinary technology in June of 2003, with an associate of applied science in veterinary technology, and became licensed as a veterinary technician in January 2004. During her career she has participated in many aspects of the veterinary field including: equine, shelter, general practice, emergency medicine, and more recently canine rehabilitation. Christy joined Dr. Sandhu in 2010, and hasn’t looked back. She strives to keep up with current trends in all aspects of veterinary medicine. Continuing her education is Christy’s top priority. In October 2014 she completed coursework and an internship to receive her CCRA in Canine rehabilitation. When Christy is not at AV Veterinary Center, she enjoys spending time with her family consisting of: her husband Dave, their daughter and 3 sons, and of course their 4 legged children.


Amy is the back office supervisor at AV Veterinary Center. She has worked in the veterinary field for 14 years in many different aspects of the hospital. Amy has pets inside and outside of work. She and her husband have a Rottweiler named Daisy and are fostering a Pit Bull named Manning. When she is away from work, she enjoys playing tennis and spending time at the pool.


Gabrielle has worked with animals since she started volunteering at AV Veterinary Center back July 2014. She got hired as a Receptionist at AV Veterinary Center in October 2014. Gabrielle is in school to earn her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. She loves to read, jog, camp, and spend time with her family in her spare time. Gabrielle has four cats, two dogs and one guinea pig.


Danielle is a receptionist at AVVC. Danielle has been working at AV Veterinary Center for 3 years now and loves her job tremendously. Her compassion and caring attitude shows as she strives to help our clients and their pets through difficult times. She is very proud of our hospital and all the new treatments and specialty procedures we offer. Daniele is always there to give you a tour of our beautiful newly remodeled facility! She is no stranger to helping animals. Before working in the veterinary field, Danielle dedicated 8 years of her life to rescuing dogs from high kill shelters, strays and owner surrenders. Danielle has helped hundreds of dogs get a second chance and a new life. Today Danielle is still very passionate about animal rescue and animal welfare. When Danielle is not helping pets in need, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and two rescued dogs of her own, Max and Lexi.

Our Staff


Kristen is a Veterinary Assistant at AVVC. She has been with AV Veterinary Center for 2 years and counting. Kristen has been working in the veterinary field for 7 years. Kristen is certified in K-laser, CT Scan, Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment and Care Credit. When she is not at work, she enjoys reading a good book, catching up on all her favorite sports and cuddling with her two dogs, Maddie and Sammie.


Lyndsi is a Veterinary Assistant at AV Veterinary Center. Lyndsi went to school for Criminal Justices. Lyndsi previously worked as an EMT for 4 years. She is currently taking an Emergency Medical Technician Course to keep her certifications up to date. In 2013, Lyndsi was given the opportunity to work with in the veterinary field. She started at AV Veterinary Center as a kennel assistant and worked her way up. Lyndsi is still a licensed EMT for the State of California and planning on returning back to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. In Lyndsi’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends, hanging out with her pets, and doing anything outdoors. Lyndsi has 5 German Shepherds, 1 Terrier Mix, 1 Quarter Horse, 2 Cat’s and 4 Chickens.


Lauren holds two positions at AV Veterinary Center. She works in our back office as a veterinary assistant and is in charge of all marketing and social media of AVVC and our sister hospitals. Though she has only been a part of our team for a year and a half, she has always been surrounded by animals. Lauren found her niche volunteering at the Lancaster Animal Shelter in high school. Lauren graduated with a Bachelors in Animal Science and Biology from California State University, Chico. While attending California State University, Chico, Lauren gained knowledge and hands on experience with large feed animals. Now she is eager to continue expanding her education in the small animal field. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys being outdoors, swimming, snowboarding, and hanging out with her sidekick “Jelly” the bulldog.


Emily is currently a veterinary assistant at AVVC. Emily has been working with animals for 7 years. Currently, Emily is working towards becoming Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). She will complete her schooling this year (2015). When Emily is not working or studying; she rides horses, reads, models, plays video games, dances and is a dj for country line dancing. Emily has several fur babies of her own including: 2 horses, 2 dogs and 1 cat.


Natalie is a veterinary assistant at AVVC and one of our surgical assistants. Natalie began working in the veterinary field October of 2008. Her interest sparked when she wrote a paper for her Senior Project in high school on common canine viruses. She also volunteered at a local emergency veterinary clinic. Since then, Natalie has progressed from a kennel assistant to veterinary assistant and soon to be Registered Veterinary Technician. Natalie has passed her California State Veterinary Technician Exam and now preparing to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam in order to be an RVT. Natalie works in both emergency and day practice. She enjoys the fast paced, quick thinking aspect of emergency. This makes her appreciate the slower and more intimate settings of working day practice, where she get to know the patients and owners. Natalie’s favorite part about working in the field is surgical nursing. She loves providing the best possible care before, during and after any anesthetic procedure. Natalie enjoys staying active and is always training for a race. She tries to support the community and participates in most local races but loves competing in obstacle course racing, Spartan races in particular. Natalie has one dog, named Polly. She is a brindle pit bull mix. Polly comes to work with her mother every day and loves greeting the clients and getting pet when she can.


Shelley is a veterinary assistant holding a plethora of experience. Shelley has worked in the field of veterinary medicine for 14 years. Her special areas of interest include: canine and feline behavior and preventative medicine. She has Animal Care Occupations and Dog Obedience Instructor certificates. She is also a Hills Prescription Diet Nutrition Counselor. In her spare time, Shelley enjoys crafting and sewing. She especially enjoys making dog clothes. Shelley shares her home with Josie (Lab mix), Fergie (Chihuahua), Farrah (Mexican hairless), Faith (Chinese Crested), Tank (tortoise), and Jack (the cat).


Alexandra is a registered veterinarian technician at AVVC. Alexandra graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in 2005 and has been working as a veterinary technician since then. In her spare time, she loves to read and spend time with her family and her beautiful English bulldog named Luna.

Dominick has worked with animals for over 15 years with his family. He has worked 4 years in veterinary clinics as Kennel help. Dominick attended high school and is currently going to college to further his education. He has 3 dogs and 2 cats and in his spare time, Dominick is either with his pets or out being one with nature.
